CAS #504-63-2
Vinyl Toluene, a mixture of m-methylstyrene and p-methylstyrene, is less toxic, volatile, and odorous than styrene monomer (SM), with higher stability and flash point. It is used as a replacement for SM in manufacturing unsaturated polyester resin, modified alkyd resin, and vinyl resin, among others, for applications in insulation paint, coatings, and composites. As a new polymeric monomer, it enhances resin performance in terms of heat resistance, impact, and stability, and is widely utilized in special coatings, adhesives, and industries such as aerospace, wind power, nuclear power, and high-speed railways.
