Resorcinol bis (2-hydroxyethyl) ether (HER)

Resorcinol bis (2-hydroxyethyl) ether (HER) is used for its excellent elevated temperature performance, extended heat aging durability, and superior resiliency. HER melts at 89 ºC and exhibits supercooling behavior, which aids in processing HER/MDI polyurethane systems. HER's compatibility with MDI and pre-polymers allows for high-performance elastomers, and HER/MDI systems are alternatives to HQEE/MDI and MOCA/TDI systems. HER improves tear strength, rebound, dynamic properties, and low hysteresis under dynamic loading.
