General Description

1,4-Butanediol (BDO) is a high boiling, clear, colorless liquid that has a freezing point of 19-20°C. BDO is completely soluble in water and is soluble in common alcohols, ester and ketone solvents. BDO exhibits a low order of toxicity and is non-corrosive. Gantrade's BDO has a moisture specification of < 150ppm and is of high purity, >99.85%

Butanediol is a di-functional, primary alcohol with the chemical structure shown below:
