General Description

DETDA is a specialty curative and chain extender for isocyanate pre-polymers, affording poluyreas with superior mechanical and dynamic properties. It is also a curing agent for epoxy resins. DETDA is useful in room temperature and low temperature formulations where its compatibility and liquid form make handling easier.

DETDA is a liquid di-functional, aromatic amine with two isomeric forms, with the chemical structure shown below:

DETDA is considered harmful if swallowed, harmful in contact with skin and causes serious eye irritation. Repeated exposure may cause damage to organs.
