General Description

PTMEG polyols are waxy, white solids that melt to clear, colorless, viscous liquids above room temperature. They are linear, polymeric, primary diols with repeating (C₄H₈O) units in the backbone. PTMEG polyols dissolve in a wide variety of organic solvents. While insoluble in water, they do absorb water. The PTMEG polyols are stabilized with BHT at 200-350ppm. In the empirical formula above, n~14 for the 1000 grade and n~27 for the 2000 grade.
